AquaTech designed their wraps employing the principles similar to those used in medical pressure care, which are to provide pressure relief to bony/muscular prominences by maximizing surface area contact to the skin and spreading load. Also to ensure that the users skin is aerated and shear forces are reduced.
MATERIALS The outer fabric is made from a Polyamide material which has exceptionally high abrasion resistance but at the same time, has a soft feel. This fabric also aerates when in contact with the skin and will not hold water such as perspiration which could lead to rashes or blisters. The inside gripping surface is a rubber like neoprene 12 mm closed cell foam which is highly durable and provides superior grip to the monopod leg. This foam also has very good resilience and will not flatten out over time. CONSTRUCTION The inside gripping surface is smaller than the outer surface so it naturally wraps around the pole. The fingers in this case are the three large hook Velcro tabs that adhere to any where on the outer fabric, so it can be secured tightly. The combination of the inside rubberized grip surface and the adjustable Velcro tabs will ensure that the Wraps will not cause irritation to the user by sliding down the pole. |
