The quick release flash bracket system that's revolutionizing flash photography in one smooth movement.

The KC1F flash bracket system is the perfect partner for all KIRK plates used with our King Cobra or any side-mounted action head. Once secured to the lens, its adjustable flash mounting plate allows the flash to glide easily for direct center or off-center positioning. The result is improved flash options and seamless flash operation.

Additionally, KC1F is built to perform, featuring:

Telephoto Flashbracket
for lenses with a tripod collar

For telephoto flash work, day or night, Kirk's Telephoto Flashbracket is an indispensable tool for outdoor photographers everywhere. This bracket enables you to produce the much needed catch light or foreground fill lighting for your subject.

Kirk's telephoto bracket has two very important advantages over others.

First, is the quick and easy installation. By simply tightening one stainless steel screw, the bracket attaches directly to any of the new Kirk Arca-style lens plates that feature the bracket-mounting platform and threaded hole plate. A specially designed tool that makes installation fast and convenient is included.

Second, is the ability to quickly shift the flash to the side by simply loosening one knob and flipping the hinged bracket.

Plus, the knob at the top allows you to quickly and easily tilt your flash unit forward by up to 45 degrees to aid with telephoto macro photography.

These Macro Flashbrackets are designed for installation on camera bodies. We offer three different models. All offer a deluxe 2-way joint to allow positioning of your flash.

These brackets are designed to be used as hand held flash brackets or to be quickly mounted directly on to their designated tripod head.

Macro Flashbrackets

These Macro Flashbrackets are designed for lenses that have a rotating tripod collar. They are available in two models: FB-9 single-arm macro bracket, and FB-10 dual-arm macro bracket.

These brackets attach directly to any of our Kirk Arca-style lens plates that feature the bracket-mounting platform and threaded hole. They also offer a deluxe 2-way joint to allow positioning of your flash in any direction, making them truly a Macro Bracket.

Extension Arm
This rigid, lightweight, adjustable extention arm mounts directly atop the Kirk telephoto flashbracket for an additional 9" to 15" of height. It's used primary to eliminate "red eye" when using flash for fill light or night photography, but can also lean forward to position the flash for long-lens macro photography.

Flash X-Tender

Whether you use a flash as main light or a fill, the Flash X-Tender is a must with lenses 300mm or longer. This unit weighs less than 3 ounces and folds flat for storage.

The Flash X-Tender increases your flash output by a minimum of 2 full stops (3 stops from a flash's 50mm setting). The Flash X-Tender is available in four models:

Based on our own use and feedback from our customers:

The FX-1 fits the Nikon SB-24 & SB 28, the Canon 430 EZ & 199D, the Minolta 5200 & 5400, and the Pentax 5000AF. The measurement between the ears of an FX-1 is 1-9/16" .

The FX-1B fits the Nikon SB-80 & SB 80dx.

The FX-2 fits the Canon 540 EZ & 550 EX, the Nikon SB-25 & SB-26, and the Sigma EF 500. The measurement between the ears of an FX-2 is 1-3/4" .

We are not rcommending the use of a Flash X-tender on the Nikon SB-50 or the Canon 420.
